ROBINA TOWN CENTRE
Opened in 1996, Robina Town Centre is the second largest shopping centre on the Gold Coast, Australia after Pacific Fair, covering 34 hectares in the suburb of Robina, Gold Coast with seven anchor tenants and over 400 retail outlets covering over 130,000 square metres.
With approximately 6000 carpark spaces available throughout the centre, Robina Town Centre wanted a robust, water-tight, and most importantly, proven carpark expansion joint system for two of their largest and busiest carparks.
Robina Town Centre had been experiencing significant water leaks through the existing carpark expansion joints and had been subjected to hazardous trip and noise hazards as a result of the failed expansion joint systems.
Robina Town Centre chose CPSX Carpark Expansion Joint to replace their existing failed carpark expansion joints as CPSX is:
CPSX Carpark Expansion Joint is made up of two layers. The bottom layer, a specialty flexible closed cell foam water seal that is adhered to the expansion joint gap with an Australian made epoxy adhesive, designed to keep water and debris from exiting the expansion joint gap. The upper layer consists of a matrix of rubber strands made from recycled truck tyres in Australia, bound together with an elastomeric binder that allows the rubber to expand and contract providing multi-directional movement.
