Fire and Water Seal

Accompanying our expansion joint cover systems are our water and fire seals.  Both are able to be installed together in the expansion joint gap beneath the expansion joint cover.

The Heard Group Expansion Joint Water Seal is a preformed cross-linked closed cell foam, specifically formulated to prevent water and debris from penetrating an expansion joint gap and is 100% waterproof.

Installed in the expansion joint gap beneath the expansion joint system, it forms a complete waterproof barrier, preventing water from leaking into retail or car parks below the concrete slab.  The Expansion Joint Water Seal can also be installed above our Fire Seal allowing both water and fire protection. Able to be installed into expansion joint gap sizes from 20mm to 100mm.

The Heard Group Promat Fire Seal is a highly compressible, flexible, fire resistant expansion strip seal which is used where movement joints are formed in the structure of a building. It consists of layers of PROMASEAL Grafitex intumescent material bonded to a special foam and it has been successfully tested for up to 240 minute fire resistance for movement joint seals within concrete/masonry compartment floors and walls (with an equal or greater fire resistance level).

Able to be installed beneath our Expansion Joint Water Seal allowing both fire and water protection.  Suitable for installation into expansion joint gap sizes from 20mm to 100mm.
