Chatswood Shopping Centre, Springwood Car Park

The Lancini Property Group, the owners of Chatswood Shopping Centre at Springwood, contacted Heard Group after the shopping centre’s management had received numerous complaints from customers about water leaking onto customers and their motor vehicles from the upper roof level of their two storey car park.

They had also been receiving complaints from customers in relation to trip hazards in the expansion joint gap where the previous expansion joint system had split and de-bonded from the expansion joint gap. There were also complaints about female customers getting their high heels caught in the split and broken seal in the expansion joint gap.

The Lancini Property Group had seen CPSX Carpark Expansion Joint in other local shopping centre multi storey car parks such as Westfield Garden City and Westfield Carindale and were interested in replacing their failed car park expansion joints with the Heard Group product.

The Heard Group installation team performed the installation during trading hours. Specially trained in the installation of CPSX, our install team adhered to Heard Group’s specific workplace health and safety procedures and methods to ensure there was minor disruption to traffic and customers at the centre and ensuring there was minimal impact to the surrounding environment.
