Engaged by Hutchinson Builders, Heard Group Expansion Joint Systems supplied 650m of our CPSX Carpark Expansion Joint to the project’s multi-storey car park.

The CPSX Carpark Expansion Joint is a preformed cross-linked closed cell foam specifically formulated to prevent water and debris from penetrating an expansion joint gap. The rubber strand topping installed on the seal’s surface not only protects the seal from being punctured but also stiffens the surface of the seal increasing point loading, allowing pedestrians to safely traverse the expansion joint gap. This product is UV stable, easy to install and alleviates the need for noisy metal cover plates which can be a trip hazard. It also acts as a 100% waterproof barrier. The CPSX Carpark Expansion Joint is perfect for installation in multi-storey carparks.

Our installation team, Heard Group Expansion Joint Installations performed the installation of our CPSX Carpark Expansion Joint to the project’s multi-storey carpark. Our installation team has been specifically trained in the installation of all of Heard Group’s expansion joint products. We ensure the safety of our installation team while they’re on site installing our expansion joint products by providing our team with tested and tagged power tools, dust extraction equipment on all concrete cutting power tools and dust extractors to pull in any extra dust particles in the air. Attendance at tool box meetings are mandatory prior to commencing installation each day as is the reading and acknowledgment of Safe Work Method Statements prior to commencing any installation project.
